You tell us what is happening. We build a learner record, protect it, and use it according to your permissions. When your learner moves between connected Skhillz programs, what they are authorized to carry moves with them. The goal is not to collect more about your family. It is to stop losing what has already been learned.

Skhillz Academy is built from those lessons. Not from the assumption that every learner needs the same program, but from the belief that every learner deserves to be understood before they are instructed.
Before anyone meets your child
Trust should be built into the system, not left to memory.
You should know who is working with your learner, what they are authorized to do, whether their documentation is current, and how to raise a concern. That is not an extra feature. It is part of running an education service responsibly.
Cleared, or not assigned
The screening a role needs is set by what the role does, where it is done, the law that applies there and how much contact it has with children. Whatever that set turns out to be, all of it has to be verified before a person can be put on a group, a class or a camp. The system refuses the assignment. Nobody has to remember.
No private adult and child chat
Every message between a member of staff and a learner is visible to that learner's guardians and to the office. There is no channel that is not.
Access follows the role
Staff see the learner information their approved responsibilities need and nothing else. When an assignment ends or a clearance expires, the access ends with it rather than waiting for somebody to notice.
Permission you can withdraw
Any authorization you give, to speak to a school or to attend a meeting, can be revoked by you at any time, and every door it opened closes in the same moment.

You tell us what is wrong
A call, twenty minutes, with a person rather than a script. You describe what you are seeing. We ask about the things that usually turn out to matter.

We find where it actually broke
Before any tutoring, we work out what your child can already do and where it stopped. Teaching the wrong level is the fastest way to waste your money and your child's confidence.

You get the same tutor, twice a week
Nine weeks, six students at most, live. You see the notes from every session, so you know what happened without having to ask a nine year old.
Nobody is put on a list for calling. If we are not the right fit, we will say so and tell you what we would do instead.

The experience behind Skhillz
We have seen what changes when the teaching finally fits the learner.
Skhillz Academy may be building a new generation of programs, but the teaching experience behind it is not new. It comes from more than fifteen years with children, teenagers and adults across elementary and middle school, adult basic education, high school equivalency, inclusive classrooms, tutoring and homeschool learning.
Up to 30% improvement
Learners improved regional or standardized assessment performance by as much as 30% after focused instruction and support.
Two grade levels of reading growth
Learners increased reading performance by as much as two grade levels within one school year.
SAT scores above 1500
College-bound students earned SAT scores above 1500 after advanced instruction, preparation and academic support.
From failing to passing
Students in inclusive learning environments moved from failing to passing during the school year while also making meaningful assessment gains.
Advancing beyond the expected grade
Some learners made enough progress to advance a grade level, or to move beyond the level at which they began.
A GED in their sixties
Adult learners, including students in their sixties, earned a high school equivalency credential after years away from formal education. One completed it after a single year in the program.
From adult basic education to the next step
Adult basic education students strengthened foundational skills, progressed into GED preparation, earned credentials, and continued into trade school, college and professional careers.
These examples are individual learners taught in earlier programs led or delivered by our founder. They are not guarantees of future performance. Outcomes vary with starting point, attendance, engagement, instructional time, program fit and individual circumstances.
Questions people actually ask.
Is this a school my child would leave their school for?
Only if you want it to be. The Virtual Microschool is a full-time K-12 school. Everything else here sits alongside the school your child already attends: tutoring, test preparation, summer weeks, college advising.
What if I do not know which program we need?
That is normal, and it is most people. Tell us what is happening and what you want to change. We will help work out where to begin, and we will say so when something outside Skhillz is the better answer.
Who is teaching my child?
Somebody whose screening is complete and verified. Which checks that means depends on the role, the setting, the state and the level of contact with children, so it is not one identical list for everybody. The system will not let an unverified person be assigned to a learner, and it removes them the day a required item lapses.
My child has an IEP or a 504 plan. Does that matter here?
It matters and we want it. Upload it and it goes to the people teaching your child. If you need help with the school itself, that is Educational Advocacy, and it starts with a written authorization from you that names exactly what we may do.
I am the one going back to school. Do I need a parent account?
No. An adult learner holds their own account, signs their own agreements, pays their own invoices, and holds their own certificates. There is no guardian anywhere on it.
Are your services virtual or in person?
It depends on the program. Skhillz runs virtual services, location-based programs and in-home education. Each program page says which one it is and where it is available, rather than leaving you to guess from the pictures.
Do you serve families nationally?
Many programs are built for national delivery. In-person and in-home services depend on educator availability, local operations and the rules of your state, so those pages say where we can actually work.
What does it cost, really?
The nine-week Learning Center cycle is $699 to $1,199 paid in full, depending on the program. Payment plans exist and so do sibling discounts. Other programs are priced on their own pages, in numbers, not in a form you have to fill out to see.
Can I talk to a person before I decide anything?
Yes. Book a call, ask what you want to ask, and nobody will put you on a list for it.
